Side bayonet mounted percussion pistols are unusual, and to find one retailed by a Philadelphia maker and dealer is most unusual. Barrel with deep even age brown. Action with classic English engraving but signed on left "TRYON PHILADELPHIA". Push-on safety. CONDITION: Folding trigger does not pop out. Snap bayonet works perfectly, like a switchblade knife. Walnut grip with some varnish renewed. Action works well when trigger is manually popped out. Bore with vestigial rifling is fair. An unusual and interesting American pistol. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
