Circa 1892. A vintage and nice boxlock game gun with brown Damascus 30" barrels. Barrels built with 2 - 3/4" chambers and have 2007 London Nitro. proof. Barrels built on filed flat top tapered rib. Rib with extension reads "PATENT MAY 31,1884 CLIP LUMP". Both barrels read "FINEST DAMASCUS". Barrel flats with "LP / 07", "70MM" and "12 / C" in diamond. Chokes are Full in left barrel and Improved Modified in right. Brushed coin finished box lock action with Greener style crossbolt action and beaded fences with scroll and floral engraving. Both walls read "BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE HAMMERLESS". Action is fit with disk strikers, blacked double triggers that are protected by a blacked scroll engraved trigger guard which extends to a long bottom strap that is scroll engraved and engraved "IDIH". Action is built with blacked engraved top lever with checkered thumb piece and checkered/serrated safe slide. "SAFE" in gold. Gun is non-auto safe. Water table with "258" stamped. The double checkered panel English walnut stock with smoky grain has a sharp checkered Fluer de Lis styled straight hand grip. Stock is also fit with a gold shield and finished by a black leather covered pad. A long splinter forend built with a Deeley latch release and a seashell shape horn tip. Gun lives in a British tan leather VC case with snap caps and cleaning equipment. Case lid with paper trade label and charged card. CONDITION: Excellent as refurbished. Barrels are excellent, retaining mostly all of their Damascus finish. Action and triggers operate well. Stock is excellent per refurbishment. Forend is also excellent. Nicely refurbished gun and setup.
