Lot #1317:
(A) COLT ARTILLERY SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 LC REVOLVER.
Colt Single Action Army revolver, First Generation, serial number 138352, manufactured circa 1892–1893, featuring a U.S. military inspected frame marked with the “R.A.C.” (Rinaldo A. Carr) inspector’s stamp, indicating late 19th century U.S. Army acceptance; the revolver exhibits the standard two-line Hartford barrel address “COLT PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” and left-side frame patent dates “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2, 1872 / JAN. 19, 1875”; the revolver retains a 5½-inch barrel, fluted cylinder, finished surfaces show significant age, handling wear, and loss of original finish, now largely in the white with traces of polishing, while overall configuration reflects a historically used and maintained working revolver from the late American frontier era, combining documented military inspection origin with evidence of long-term service and refurbishment.
