The top half of the gun was manufactured in 1860 and the bottom half was manufactured in 1852. Matching serial numbers on the barrel assembly, cylinder arbor, wedge, frame and the cylinder. The trigger guard and the backstrap are matching but are a different serial number (25727 E). The loading lever is numbered (8500). The backstrap and the trigger guard are factory engraved. It has a wonderful set of high relief carved ivory grips with a Mexican snake and eagle motif. This gun comes in a carved half flap holster. The holster is maker marked "GEORGE C. MOORE / MAKER / OROVILL", which is a California maker. CONDITION: The gun is a gunmetal gray and has been cleaned. Dark bore with pitting and frosting in the lands and grooves. The grips show some wear and they have a crack on the right side. The holster is in wonderful condition with a zig zag carved boarder. Stitching is tight and serviceable.
