Lot #1006:
(A) COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER (1894).
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 1/13/2026
Circa 1894 per serial number. Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, and butt. Flat back blade front sight with notched frame rear sight, barrel with caliber legend on left side and two-line address across top. Kidney shaped ejector rod head. While the caliber legend is for .38 WCF, there is evidence of sleeving to chambers, chambers and barrel measure closer to .41; there is a small "41" at base of barrel under cylinder axle pin, perhaps designating .41 Colt? Hard rubber grips with embossed Rampant Colt. CONDITION: Refinished in the period, probably at time of conversion. Frame a smooth matte blue with areas of mottling and oxidation throughout, balance of metal a mixture of dove grey and a smooth chocolate patina. Grips with scattered handling marks and impressions, one chip at left toe. Mechanically fine with all four Colt clicks, bore with strong rifling.
