(A) COLT THIRD MODEL DRAGOON PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

The gun has all matching numbers, including the wedge. Produced in 1855, this revolver features a New York City barrel address and the cylinder is marked "Model USMR" and "Colts Patent". The frame is marked "Colt Patent" on the forward left side of frame. The grips are period ivory. CONDITION: The revolver has a pleasing grey patina overall. There is scattered light freckling on the metal surfaces. There are traces of case colors evident on the loading lever. The cylinder scene remains very strong and legible. The bore is dark with wear and corrosion. Mechanically fine, albeit soft. The grips have various dings and chips, consistent with the age of the revolver.
