This rifle dates to the late 1880's. It is a tip up single shot that features the nickel plated frame, lever and rifle butt plate with a blued octagon to round barrel. The barrel was shortened to 26 1/2 " and then relined to 25-20 Winchester by Redman's, then rust blued to near new displaying the bold Stevens barrel legends. Rifle sports a dovetailed silver knife blade front sight, has a Marbles folding leaf rear sight and displays case color A-O scope blocks that now has a vintage Stevens 3/4" tube scope with adjustable rear mount. Also has a tang sight attached as well as a removeable palm rest. Standard walnut stock. CONDITION: Excellent as custom built. Frame retains at least 95% of its original nickel plating with flashes remaining on trigger guard and butt plate. Hammer still displays some original peacock blue. The barrel retains all of its reapplied rust blue and the bore is mirror bright. Fine working order and very accurate and dependable. A very handsome single shot target rifle in a great caliber.
