Classic 6" overall belt pistol made by Henry Deringer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1845. 4" 3-flat .45 caliber rifled barrel with German silver blade front sight and notch tang sight with platinum banded patent breech percussion ignition system marked "DERINGER/PHILADEL". Floral engraved back action lock marked "DERINGER/PHILADELa" with single trigger control. Checkered walnut stock with German silver escutcheon plates, thumbpiece, butt inlay, and lock back plate; engraved round German silver trigger guard with pewter nosecap inlay. CONDITION: Overall good with metal fading to a silvery patina with some light surface discoloration. Traces of original varnish with no visible restoration or repairs. Shootable bore with crisp mechanics. Formerly part of the Allan Klein Collection. DLM
