(A) DFC INSPECTED COLT CAVALRY SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER
Produced by Colt for the US Cavalry in 1884, The revolver features a nickel finish and a one line barrel address. The frame has a three a three line patent date and US property marks. The revolver features inspection initials of David Clark on the barrel, frame and bottom of the grips. The ejector is the early style bullseye type. The revolver is featured in John Kopecs book "Cavalry & Artillery Revolvers" pg.78, denoting its nickel finish. The revolver is in a know range of revolvers sent to state Militias. CONDITION: The revolver has a nickel finish throughout with loos primarily at the muzzle. All numbers are matching. There is a small hole in the front sight. The one piece walnut grips has light checkering on the left panel. The hammer notches are intact.
