(A) DOCUMENTED COLT MODEL 1873 ARTILLERY .45 COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER.
Manufactured 1887. Blue finished barrel with single line Colt address. Bullseye ejector. Case colored black powder pattern frame with 3 line patent address and "US" marking to rear of patent markings. Case colored checkered hammer, one piece oil finished walnut stocks with RAC 1903 cartouche on right side. Revolver is accompanied by Colt Factory Letter dated November 2024. The letter verifies that serial Number 120475 was shipped 1887 to US Government and later returned for refurbish in 1896. The refurbishment encompassed: new 5 - 1/2" barrel, replace all worn parts, refinish to new condition; revolver was subsequently returned to the US Government inspector 1896. The Revolver was again shipped to Colt for refurbishment and returned to the government on 4/17/1903. CONDITION: Very fine with barrel and cylinder retaining over 97% blue finish with crisp markings and bright bore. The back strap and trigger guard retain over 97% blue finish with slight edge wear. The receiver retains most all case colors that have toned to a lighter greyish overall with crisp legends. Grips are excellent with some light impressions and edge wear with crisp cartouche.
