(A) FINE COLT LIGHTNING MEDIUM FRAME SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN .32-20.
Dates to 1890. Standard rifle features the blue finish, round barrel, full length magazine tube, dovetailed German silver knife blade front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, and walnut stock with rifle buttplate and the checkered two piece forearm. CONDITION: Fine. The frame still retains at least 75-85% of its bright blue with strong pony stamp. Barrel and tube are a smooth blue patina blend with strong barrel legends. Stock is excellent with nominal impressions. Forearm is excellent with sharp checkering and no cracks. Mechanically sound with a strong lightly frosted bore. This is an extremely sharp and clean old Lightning rifle.
