Mark Wheland, located in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, is one of the best contemporary long rifle makers and is world renowned for his quality and finishes. This well balanced rifle features a swamped octagonal rifled barrel inscribed "M. Wheland" on top flat. Flat lockplate and plain Lancaster style brass hardware. Full length figured maple stock of classic Lancaster County form. Stock carved with molding along bottom of stock, relief cheekpiece, and relief carving around ramrod entry ferrule. Complete with hickory ramrod. CONDITION: Rifle is in excellent condition showing little use. Action is tight and bore is clean and shiny. This would be a fantastic deer rifle.
