This is one of the primary longarms provided to the United States during the Revolutionary and carried by the Continental troops. This example is of standard configuration throughout and has a partial visible St. Etienne mark with crown on left side of breech. Rear Model 1763 band with no spring provision. Bayonet lug mounted open bottom, towards muzzle. Walnut stock shows an American alteration to the comb. Ramrod a later replacement. CONDITION: All metal components heavily polished, some scattered pitting. Touchhole has been rebushed. Lock is in its original flintlock configuration. Stock shows scattered age cracks, minor chips and marks from use.
