G. Hemenway marked side by side external hammer shotgun made in England circa the late 19th century. Massive 10 gauge Laminated Steel barrels with smooth rib marked “G. Hemenway London Laminated Steel Trap Gun" with extractors and bead front sight. Case hardened scroll engraved action with top lever opener and exposed hammers and both locks marked “G. Hemenway” with double triggers. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black plastic grip cap and buttplate. Silver stock shield. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 40% remaining original barrel finish with balance fading to silver with some light surface corrosion. Action has traces of case in protected areas. Wood has nice sheen finish with light handling marks. A massive attractive gun. Pitted bores with good mechanics. DLM
