Lot #1055:
(A) INDIAN TACK DECORATED WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 .32-20 LEVER ACTION RIFLE (1896).
Madis dates to 1896. Standard rifle features the full octagon barrel, full tube magazine, knife blade front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, blue finish, walnut stock, rifle butt plate and matching forearm. Barrel exhibits the proper Winchester legends. Right side of stock reveals a very extensive brass tack design, age and origin unknown. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is a butter smooth homogenous blue brown blended patina. All legends are crisp. Stock is solid, proud to metal showing sundry marks and oil darkened. Mechanically sound with a strong lightly frosted bore. Has a great Western plains style eye appeal.
