28 gauge shotgun modeled after the Tanegashahima with semi-club butt and embellished in the Japanese style Chrysanthemum motif and a mystical Griffin type animal. Tight scroll and vine engraving on the receiver, trigger guard and tang. The large front and rear sights are again styled after the earlier Tanegashima flintlock era. Truly a unique transitional era for the changing Japanese culture. CONDITION: Good with barrel having turned an even brown patina. Coin finished receiver is turning plumb with age. Stocks are fine and full sized. Action operates properly.
