Made by Joslyn Firearms Co., Stonington, Ct. with about 8500 Model 1862's made. Used widely in the North by Union cavalry outfits these guns feature a breechloading rimfire action with rifled one band barrel. Front blade sight with folding leaf rear sight. Side hammer action with sling bar and ring. Walnut stock with brass trigger guard and buttplate. CONDITION: Overall good condition with metal fading to a silvery patina. Wood retains 50% original finish with some usage marks. Good mechanics with a shootable bore. DLM
