Lot consists of (A) This example has the 1841 date on lock with Waters legend. The left side barrel is stamped "JH" and "P". The left side of the walnut stock has two strong inspector cartouche stamps that are "JH" for Joseph Hannis and "WAT" for Willian A Thornton. All iron furniture, swivel loading rod, converted from flintlock to percussion. CONDITION: Very good. Hammer does not stay cocked. All metal is a clean smooth patina. All legends are sharp. Stock is solid. light crack and chip near lock and usual dings. Bore has some abrasions. (B) Makers legend on lock has been removed. Left side of barrel also has the "JH" and "P" inspector stamp. The "WAT" and "JH" cartouche stamps on left side of stock are sharp. There are a few hairline cracks around metal and one distinct crack foreword of lock with a chip. Working order. Bore has abrasions.
