Lot consists of (A&B) Matched pair. Both are stamped Tryon, have the full finely checkered walnut grips, engraved military theme frames and decorative muzzles. Both are percussion and stamped Philadelphia on right side of barrel. Both have faux flintlock type pans with percussion nipples. CONDITION: Metal is all gray patina and the grip checkering shows wear. Nice early all steel pair. (C) This example has the brass frame with steel barrels. CONDITION: Barrels are basically soft patina. Fine grips. (D) This is basically just a bit smaller version of (C). Grips are not checkered. CONDITION: Barrels are basically soft patina. Grips have a chip missing on left side. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
