Lot consists of: (A) Thomas signed swivel breech flintlock, right side of barrels with "2" and "3", indicating manufacture as part of a set. Patent breeches also marked "2" and 3" with appropriate British proofs. English push on safety. Receiver engraved with florals and line engraving, left side with "THOMAS" in ribbon. Cock engraved en suite. Slabside grip with silver thumbpiece. CONDITION: Very good. Metal has been cleaned over old oxidation and spotting, now dove grey. Stock is very good, full sized and attractive. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, including swivel. Bores are very good, with smooth oxidation. Top barrel is askew and will not screw off, bottom barrel is frozen. (B) Beckwith signed tap action boxlock pistol with turn off barels numbered "1" and "2" commensurate with breeches. Standard British proofs. Reciever engraved with florals and Beckwith in ribbons, "LONDON" in reserve with stand of arms on right. English push on safety. Checkered slabside bag grip. CONDITION: Very good. Metal cleaned over old oxidation and spotting, now dove grey. Grip is very good, with an extra layer of varnish added for preservation. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, bores are excellent, with smooth oxidation throughout. EW
