Lot consists of (A) George Tryon of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania made side by side flint lock shotgun with both locks marked "TRYON". Double triggers with laminated steel barrels, smooth concave rib and bead front sight. Walnut checkered straight stock with iron furniture including "pineapple" tipped trigger guard. Original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with peppery pitting on metal surfaces. Reconverted locks with original plates being used. Wood retains dark added finish with four inch crack in front of left lock. Good mechanics with shootable bores. (B) "B. Dixon Natchez" marked back action percussion locked, muzzleloading shotgun with twist steel barrels and bead front sight. Benjamin Dixon worked from 1860-1880 in Natchez, Mississippi. Plain walnut stock with iron hardware. Double triggers with original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Rough overall condition. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
