Civil War Smith carbine, manufactured by Massachusetts Arms. Round Barrel with blade front sight and small elevator adjustable rear sight. Two piece oil finished walnut stocks with steel buttplate. Folding 2 piece action is case color finished with saddle ring and bar on left side for calvary use. CONDITION: Very good, stock has 2 strong inspectors cartouches on left side of wrist. Receiver has shadows of case colors with some finish losses and light oxidation. Barrel retains 80% blue finish. Stocks are very good with some light bruises. Mechanically fine. Bore is good with well defined rifling and some darkness in lands.
