Civil War Tripplett & Scott Carbine, issued to the Kentucky Cavalry. Chambered for the .56-50 Spencer cartridge with tube magazine that loaded from the front. Round barrel with blade front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Oil finished walnut stocks with steel buttplate. These carbines saw extensive use in the Western campaigns of the Civil War and were used by Arkansas and Kentucky extensively. CONDITION: Good with finish toned to silver mixed with patina. Rear sight is a period replacement. Action operates with some difficulty. Stock has a typical repair around the tube magazine.
