September 10-12, 2019 Field & Range Firearms
Considered by many to be the most beautiful big bore Western era revolver ever made. It has all the traditional features of a Merwin with the ability to instantly change barrels but the 4th model has the added rib and solid half under-lug with classic saw handle grip and swivel. This is finished in factory nickel with case color folding hammer and trigger with checker-board hard rubber grips. These were all made in 44-40 caliber. CONDITION: There is some minor freckling on left side of barrel and some toning patina wear on right side of barrel. The cylinder has a drag line, high edge patina and some minor freckling. The frame retains at least 97% original factory nickle with an over-all rating of at least 85%. The grips are excellent. Revolver has a mirror bore. The cylinder spins freely, advances, but the catch is not locking into place to freeze the cylinder in firing position which should be an easy fix. This is far above average retaining a high amount of condition and all original as made.
