These pistols feature screw-barrels with exceptionally turned cannon muzzles. Bottoms of breeches signed "Wilson" in script and have private London view and proof marks as well as star over "RW" for Richard Wilson. Locks have engraved swan neck cocks and scalloped frizzen springs. Walnut grips with relief shells carved around barrel tangs. Silver furniture including grotesque mask pommel caps and sideplates and escutcheons with arms motifs. Escutcheons engraved with a horse head over "R.B.". CONDITION: Both pistols have a grey patina and were cleaned long ago. Locks function properly and markings are clear. Grips have a pleasing patina and show minor scattered marks from use and some wear. Silver retains a pleasing pewter patina. A very nice pair.
