MFG. 1868. Cylinder scene and markings were polished off, otherwise, all matching numbers including wedge. Standard model with brass straps, case color frame, hammer and lever, blued octagon barrel and cylinder with varnished one-piece walnut grips. Legible Colt Patent on left side of frame. .31 CAL stamped on left trigger guard. Top of barrel has Colt's New York address. CONDITION. Very good as refinished. Cylinder shows no markings, retains most of the blue with some disfigured notches around nipples. Barrel shows some edge wear, but barrel legend is still legible. The bore is still well-defined. The reapplied case colors are chemically applied. The grips show base wear and some staining. Action needs attention, hammer does not cock or advance cylinder.
