The live portion of this session begins on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
One of the most popular and well used weapons of the Civil War, prized on both sides of the conflict. This is a standard carbine with saddle ring and bar, single band, Lawrence stamped rear ladder sight, blade on base front sight, round barrel, and walnut stock with metal buttplate and a matching forearm. The barrel has the New Model 1863 stamp at breech along with the Hartford Sharps legend. The right side of the lock and left side of frame exhibit the Sharps legends with patents. Still in its original percussion state with automatic primer. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is now patina with overall age freckling but still crisp with stout legends. The stocks show some use with sundry dings and impressions. Mechanically sound with a strong six groove bore.
