US Model 1871 inspected by Erskin Allen. Dated 1872 with bright finished barrel and case colored rolling block action. Oil finished 2 piece stocks with "EAA" cartouche and Remington patent address on upper tang. Post pattern front sight doubles as bayonet lug. Rear sight is folding staff pattern. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with receiver retaining 80% vivid case colors. Bright barrel exterior and brilliant bore with sharp rifling. Stocks are excellent with some very light impressions. Action operates properly and locks solidly. An extremely fine Model 1871 manufactured in 1872.
