Indian Wars US Colt with standard 7 - 1/2" barrel, .45 Colt caliber, six shot fluted cylinder, US stamped on left side of frame with three line address. DFC for David Clark inspector can be found under barrel, on frame as well as cylinder. DFC would have been on the one piece walnut grips but they were hand checkered at time of use. All numbers are matching. All parts are period correct including barrel address, front sight and hammer. CONDITION: All legends are sharp. Bore is fine as is action. It appears as if someone took some browning solution and wiped the gun down to give it a homogeneous look which was well done. Just a nice old soft patina crisp US cavalry revolver.
