This pistol was produced in Middletown, Connecticut. This example is dated 1821 on lock with "S. North MIDDLtn", "US", and eagle. Left side barrel breech stamped "JD" with proof "P" and "US". All iron furniture and hardware with exception to the replacement dovetailed small brass front sight. Features the single barrel band retained by springs, a swivel ramrod, an oval rear sight, and one piece walnut stock. CONDITION: Very good. All metal now in the white as cleaned. The stock is solid with sundry dings as refinished. All legends are sharp. Mechanically sound. Bore shows minor abrasion. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
