Standard issue with brass furniture including the single barrel band, swivel ramrod, and brass front sight. Single piece walnut stock. Lock is stamped "US H. ASTON" along with "MIDDtn CONN 1848". Left side barrel breech exhibits the proof "P" and letter "H" with partially visible inspector stamp. Tang is stamped "184(?)", last digit unclear. CONDITION: Very good. Brass has been cleaned. Hardware shows some wiped on finish. Legends are mostly clear Stock is solid as refinished. Mechanically fine. The bore shows nominal abrasion. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
