Standard issue with brass furniture including the single barrel band, swivel ramrod, brass front sight and the single piece walnut stock. Lock is stamped "US H. ASTON & CO." along with "MIDDtn CONN 1851". Left side barrel breech has the "WN" inspector stamp along with "US", proof "P" and letter "C". Tang is stamped "1851". Left side of stock exhibits two sharp cartouche stamps. CONDITION: Fine. Metal has been cleaned. Hardware shows minor oxidation. Legends are clear. Stock is sharp. Mechanically fine. The bore shows nominal abrasion. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
