Standard issue dated 1863 on lock with "U.S. SPRINGFIELD" and eagle. Rear sight slot vacant. Features full length walnut stock, US stamped butt plate, three barrel bands (front band is a replacement with inconsistent bright blue) replaced or cleaned hammer, metal rod (short), and swivels. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is a deep dark brown patina, with note to hammer and band. The stocks show numerous scattered dings but is solid. Lock legends are crisp. Working order. Bore is well defined but dark.
