The live portion of this session begins on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
These were produced from 1867 through 1881 with less than 2000 of the sporting rifles made. The barrel is stamped " PATENT MAY 26, 74 PHOENIX CAL. 44". Features an octagon barrel, a folding Beech front sight, a small folding ladder rear sight, blue finish with case color frame, walnut stock with rifle buttplate and matching forearm with metal tip. CONDITION: Fine The barrel is a pleasing homogenous blue patina blend with crisp legends. The receiver shows flashes of color but is basically patina. Wood is excellent but showing some darker oil stains near plate and some finish checking. Mechanically sound with a strong clean bore showing light frosting. A very clean example of this scarce rifle.
