These convertible derringers were built by David Williamson in New York City and by the National Firearms Co. of Brooklyn circa 1866 through 1870. It utilized the Moore's patent and was made to fire the .41 rimfire cartridge but could also be used as a percussion arm as it was equipped with a breech insert, one of which is included. Checkered walnut stock with brass furniture. The barrel exhibits the Williamson legend as well as the arrows on both sides. Barrel is finished bright. CONDITION: Excellent. Legends are sharp. Mechanically sound. Bore is bold but frosted. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
