Produced in 1913. Features a slide roll marked with the patent dates and Colt address. Opposite side of slide features the 1911 model designation and "US Army". The hammer is a finely checkered wide spur hammer. The safety lever is finely checkered. There is a smooth flat mainspring housing. US property roll mark appears on the left side of the frame. The barrel has a "P H" proof marks on top of the breech. There is a Walter G. Penfield ordnance inspector proof on the left side of the frame. The checkered grips are replacements and not factory. The magazine has a loop on the baseplate and a temper line, two tone finish. A 1918 dated US holster is included. CONDITION: The pistol has had the front strap stippled at some point. The blue finish has light handling marks throughout, with scattered pinpricking on the top of the slide surfaces. The barrel is in the white, with oxidation to the top of breech. The bore has oxidation and frost in the lands and grooves. The pistol is mechanically sound.
