(C) COLT BISLEY 44-40 FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER

Dates to 1912. This is a standard revolver with the blue and case color finish, Colt gutta percha grips and the wide Bisley hammer. The left side of barrel is stamped in two lines (BISLEY MODEL) COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40. Left side of frame has the two line patent legend along with Colt pony in circle and VP proof in trigger bow. Barrel has the proper two line Colt barrel legend. CONDITION: Very good. The barrel retains strong legends and has drifted to a soft patina. The cylinder has also drifted but still retains some dull blue in flutes. No visible case colors having faded. Grips are fine. Mechanically sound with a well defined bore that reveals some abrasion.
