The 1894 rifle was made in 1901 and fitted with a Model 64 round barrel. The custom walnut schnabel tip forearm is fitted so that magazine is visible. Matching custom walnut stock and rifle butt plate. Features a ramp front sight with folding Beech blade, rear slot has a filler and sports a vintage tang sight. The frame has been custom engraved with an Indian Chief vignette surrounded by American bank note scroll on left side and a buffalo on right. The lever is also engraved. CONDITION: Excellent as built. Barrel retains majority of bright blue with light handling marks. The frame retains its original blue finish which is thinning and turning grey patina from carry at base. Wood is near mint. Action is fine. Bore is sharp and only lightly frosted. Buttplate is brown patina. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
