(C) CUSTOM ENGRAVED MAUSER SPORTING RIFLE IN .35 WHELEN MARKED FOR THE HOFFMAN ARMS CO.

Built on the Mauser action. An octagon barrel has been fitted that is stamped "HOFFMAN ARMS CO." on top flat at breech. Left side of barrel at breech is stamped .35 Whelen along with Krupp Essen. Right side of barrel is stamped Guss Stahl. Top flat of frame is finely checkered. The octagon barrel sports a blade on ramp front sight while rear sight slot has a filler. Rifle sports a rear bolt mounted Lyman tang sight. The oil finish walnut stock features a checkered pistol grip, an engraved cap, straight comb, roll over cheek piece, a partially leather covered solid red pad, sling eyes, checkered fore-end and a black horn tip. The floor plate displays the Germanic Oak Leaf style engraving with a gold inlaid bear. The trigger guard is like engraved and features a gold inlaid moose. CONDITION: Excellent retaining nearly all of the reapplied finish. Stock is excellent showing some minor dings and impressions. Mechanically sound with a strong lightly frosted bore. Beautiful rifle in a superb caliber.
