(C) CUSTOM SPRINGFIELD US MODEL 1903 SPORTER BOLT ACTION RIFLE.
Frame dates to 1935 that is the basis for this custom conversion of a standard military 03. The blued barrel does not reveal any markings, no rear barrel sight and now has a dovetailed bead front sight on banded ramp. Right side of frame exhibits a Redfield receiver sight. Bolt has been jeweled. The custom plain pistol grip walnut stock features a Monte Carlo comb with roll over cheek piece, flat not finished fore-end tip, a black grip cap and black butt plate with civilian swivels. CONDITION: Fine retaining most of its reapplied blue finish on frame and barrel. The original military floor plate and trigger guard exhibit about half their original blue. Stock is excellent revealing nominal handling. Front receiver bridge has two tap holes. Mechanically sound. Rifling is bold but frosted.
