26-3/8" barrels with narrow, matted, ventilated rib have early Browning markings on top. Left side is marked for full and mod chokes. Coin finished action has ornamental sideplates added, and features gold plated single selective trigger. Action is engraved with full coverage large open shaded scroll with floral highlights, centers of which are gold dot inlaid. There are also some gold wire borders. This well cut scroll surrounds paneled vignettes of game birds; quail on left side, and pheasant on right. Bottom of action is engraved with woodcock taking flight in alders. More flowers are around trigger guard bow, with scroll on tang. This eye catching work is by ex-Browning Custom shop engraver Ron Reimer, whose signature is on trigger plate. Long tang round knob buttstock of beautifully marbled and figured European walnut measures 14-1/4" over composition Browning buttplate. Point pattern checkering wraps over top of grip. Nicely shaped drop points have carved flutes. Field forend matches well. CONDITION: Excellent, as custom finished, retaining essentially all factory type finishes on all wood and metal surfaces, with a few very light handling and assembly marks. Bores appear to be excellent, dirty. Mechanically fine. A nicely appointed small bore Browning. MGM 13
