Very fine documented Winchester takedown Model 1894 rifle with full octagon barrel and full length magazine. Traditional 2 line barrel address and chamber marked "38-55". Takedown receiver with blue finish. Vividly case colored hammer and lever. Nicely figured and varnished American walnut stocks with crescent buttplate. Comes with Buffalo Bill Historical Center letter, documenting its full and current configuration and that it was shipped from the warehouse September 15th, 1905. CONDITION: Very fine overall with metal retaining an immense 97% brilliant blue while hammer and lever retain 70% of their vivid case colors. Buttplate has toned to silver with shadows of case color remaining. The wood stocks are excellent with most all varnish remaining and some very light period impressions. Mechanically excellent with brilliant, sharp bore. A very fine and documented Winchester takedown 94 rifle in the most desirable caliber.
