This pistol features a blued finish with straw small parts. "DWM" appears on the toggle with "Germany" export mark on the barrel breech and a "(Crown) / N" proof. A 1923 Commercial Luger (typically manufactured by DWM) is a highly sought-after collectible. These pistols are generally chambered in 7.65mm Parabellum (.30 Luger) as is this example. Standard commercial markings with the blank chamber area on the barrel extension and the standard DWM logo on top of the front toggle assembly. The various parts are all numbered in the commercial fashion, with the full serial number on the frame and underside of the barrel with the other parts numbered with the last two digits of the serial number. It has the standard inverted barleycorn front sight with the notch rear sight. Unmarked nickel plated magazine with unnumbered wooden base. CONDITION: Original blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear. The various small parts retain 90% of their straw colors overall. The grips are also in good condition showing minor handling marks in few places, and some flattened diamonds. The pistol has matching numbers except the magazine as noted above. An excellent early production DWM 1923. Mechanically fine, bore very good with strong rifling and some mild frosting throughout.
