(C) EXCEPTIONAL BRUNN DOT CODE G.33/40 BOLT ACTION MOUNTAIN RIFLE.
Manufactured in occupied Czechoslovakia in 1941 for elite German mountain troops. Carbine length barrel with hooded barleycorn front sight and 1000 meter tangent rear sight. Receiver has "dot" code, "1941" dated, "7,88" caliber designation, eagle "63" inspections, and firing proof. Receiver ring also has a Norwegian rampant lion proof, indicating the rifle was sold out of service. Lightweight bolt with eagle "63" inspection. The solid walnut stocks are lightly finished with sharp eagle "63" waffenamt inspections. Matching numbers observed on receiver, bolt handle, and underside of stock. No visible import markings. Includes cross hatch pattern leather sling and muzzle cover. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the bright original blue is retained with a few faint marks. Stocks have scattered impressions and a small dark spot near the butt plate. Markings remain crisp and clean. Butt plate has a few minor areas of cleaned spotting. Excellent bore. Fine mechanics. The finest G.33/40 this cataloger has come across.
