Made in West Germany circa 1967-1969 with standard J.P. Sauer action. The floor plate is engraved WEATHERBY CUSTOM. The stock is California mesquite or myrtle and has the three piece custom contrasting inlay set, pattern 14A and 14B, on forearm and right side of stock. Contrasting rosewood forend tip and grip cap with white diamond. Typical Monte Carlo comb with roll over cheek piece and factory basket weave checkering. High gloss finish with Weatherby waffle pad and sling eyes. Metal is high polish blue and there are no barrel sights. The scope mounting screws are missing and there is evidence that a scope mount was removed. The bolt is fluted. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel has a few handling marks and light muzzle wear. Frame has some wear spots where scope base was removed. Stock shows minor handling only. Bore is strong with light frosting.
