Interesting higher grade drilling with 7.8x57 rifle caliber on the bottom of two 16 bore barrels. Top rib is matted with flip up rear sight. Scalloped action boxlock with side clips is near full coverage engraved with large game and floral pattern with punch dot background. Bottom of action is engraved "Original Kerner U. Sohn Anson and Deeley Drilling in panel. Splinter forend is checkered in point pattern with Deeley release. Made with side safety. Rifle is cocked with top tang cocker. Horn trigger guard. Full pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern with scalloped grip cap and has cheek piece on left side with ammo trap at toe and terminates with a checkered horn buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain about 65-75% blued finish. Action finished in french grey with some minor staining. Stocks retain most of an older restored finish with subsequent handling marks and checkering has thinned a bit. Shotgun tubes with repaired bulges approximately 6" from muzzle, bores are otherwise good with beginning frosting. Right stock cheek is separating and there are grain separations visible elsewhere in stocks. Stock head has a later screw on left side. JSL
