Lot consists of (A) Inland M1 Carbine with sling and oiler, early 1944 production. All Inland parts with the exception of the "JLB" marked IBM stock. Hand guard is Inland. Barrel is Inland marked, dated 1-44. Type 1 rear band. Type 3 trigger housing. Missing magazine. CONDITION: Retains 85% finish, having turned a pleasing patina in areas. Markings are clear. Fine bore with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Stock has some dings and handling marks. (B) Fine World War II IBM M1 Carbine with canvas sling, oiler, and magazine. Made between March and May of 1944. Barrel is marked "I.B.M CORP" and is correct with no bayonet lug. Early style flip up rear sight made by Quality Hardware, staked on either side of the dovetail and does not appear to have been replaced. Type 2 IBM front sight. Type 2 band. Correct Sprague and Carleton marked stock & hand guard, who was a contractor for IBM. Round bolt. Type 3 slide, "AOB" marked. IBM trigger housing and parts. Inland magazine. CONDITION: Retains 95% finish on metal. Markings are clear. Wood is fine with sharp markings. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR
