Developed by Swiss engineers living in Belgium, Paul Hausler and Pierre Roch the Glisenti pistol was produced by Siderurgica Glisenti. In 1910 the pistol was officially adopted as the Officers side arm of Italy as the Model 1910.This is an exceptionally fine condition Italian Glisenti Model 1910 pistol. These outstanding quality pistols used the proprietary 9mm Glisenti cartridge. Commercially finished with a production in excess of 50,000. Most all of the production was absorbed by The Italian Armed Forces and most all saw extensive service use. The fragile design on operation made these guns unsatisfactory for the hard use and neglect found in military usage. Manufactured and marked "MTB" on top of slide assembly and dated and proofed 1910 on right receiver flat. Outstanding checkered walnut grips. Unique grip safety located on front of grip strap. Small windage adjustable front sight with fixed rear sight assembly. This model was later replaced by the Beretta Model 1915. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with most all brilliant commercial blue finish remaining. Bore and mechanics are excellent and show little or no use. The checkered walnut grips are near perfect showing minor handing. It would be difficult to obtain a better example.
