Outstanding Documented Winchester Model 1894 rifle with 26" full octagon barrel and full length magazine. Chambered for .30 WCF with varnished straight grain walnut stocks with crescent butt. Blue finished with case colored hammer, lever, and butt plate. Manufactured 1901. Fitted with Beech folding front sight, elevation adjustable sporting rear sight and Lyman folding tang sight. Documented with Buffalo Bill Historical Center letter from the original Winchester archives by serial number confirming 1901 date of manufacture with octagon barrel, plain trigger, rifle. CONDITION: Excellent with barrel and tube retaining over 96% bright blue finish with brilliant bright and sharp bore. Receiver retains 90-92% bright polished blue with light edge wear at carry point and high point edges have toned to patina. The hammer and lever retain most all of their vivid case colors. The crescent butt has toned to shadows of case color. The varnished walnut stocks are excellent with most all varnish remaining and only some very light impressions from use and handling. Mechanically excellent. An outstanding example of the classic Winchester 1894 rifle.
