(C) PRE-64 WINCHESTER MODEL 70 FEATHERWEIGHT BOLT ACTION RIFLE.
Dates to 1959. The Featherweight rifles were made from 1952 through 1963. Specific traits of a Featherweight legend stamped on barrel, light weight bolt handle, alloy trigger guard and the 22" barrel. The floor plate on this example is blued steel. The bolt displays the matching etched number. Standard features on this rifle include the blued finish, ramp front sight, folding leaf rear sight, factory tapped for scope missing screws, checkered pistol grip walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb, after market solid black pad, sling eyes and matching checkered forearm. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retain the majority of its blue finish exhibiting minor handling with a bit of muzzle and high edge wear. The stock is solid, crisp checkering but displays areas of sundry impressions and finish loss. Mechanically sound with a bright bore.
